This regular meeting of the Scipio Town Board was called to order at 7:34 pm with the following members present:

MOTION:                   To accept the minutes of the December 27, 2000 regular year-end meeting as written.  (Buckhout/Howell). All in favor.

 

GUESTS:  Engineer Chuck Weeks presented cost data for the new buildings.

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

a)      Request for letter of support for County Real Property Services

b)      Moynihan’s report

 

OLD BUSINESS:

There was discussion regarding the cost of the new buildings.   It was agreed to ask Gary

Goodnough to consult with Chuck Weeks regarding possible ways to reduce the cost.

 

HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT:

Superintendent Ron Walter reported on the activities of the month and presented information on a state bid pick up truck.

 

MOTION:                   To purchase the truck as described. (Howell/Whitten).

Two positions are open: member of Zoning Board of Appeals and Chair of Board of

Assessment Review.  Anyone interested should contact Supervisor Howell.

 

MOTION:                   To approve three contracts:

                                                Stan Heath – scrap metal pick up

                                                John Heath – Mowing

                                                Fire Department – fuel supply

                                                (Buckhout/Rury).  All in favor.

 

MOTION:                   To accept and approve the following bills for payment from the audited vouchers. (Buckhout/Rury). All in favor.

General:            Vouchers # 1-12                         $   8,402.27

Highway:            Vouchers # 1-8                        $   1,060.30

Total:                                                                        $   9,462.57

 

MOTION:                   To adjourn the meeting at 9:36 pm. (Buckhout/Rury).
