This public hearing for the Preliminary 2002 Budget was called to order at 7:07 pm with the following members present:

Supervisor: Charles Howell Highway Superintendent: Ronald Walter

Council Members: Phil Buckhout Clerk: Judith Rowlands

Gary Goodnough Town Attorney: James Baier

Gary Whitten

Absent: Gary Rury

Guests: Ted & Lillian Weir

Supervisor Howell opened the floor for any comments or questions on the Preliminary Budget. Supervisor Howell recommended increasing the Assessment budget to include reval scheduled for 2003, to be budgeted over two years. There were no other comments regarding the budget.

Ted & Lillian Weir asked about any regulations regarding disposal of construction and other materials on land in the Town of Scipio. While it appears no local ordinance specifically addresses this issue, Attorney Baier will do some research into NY State Department of Environmental Conservation and Owasco Watershed regulations. After a brief discussion, Council members Phil Buckhout and Gary Whitten agreed to examine the site in question.

Motion was made and seconded to adjourn the Public Hearing (Goodnough/Whitten)

at 7:33 pm. All in favor.
