November 6, 2002

 

            This regular meeting was called to order at 8:13 pm by Town Supervisor Chuck Howell with the following present:

COMMUNICATIONS:

a.       Sales Tax received $75,210.

b.      PSC meeting on NYSEG “voice your choice” campaign

c.       Health Insurance 25% rate hike confirmation received

d.      Homesite – accepting grants for home repairs for low-income residents

 

MOTION:                   To have flooring installed in the town office and storage rooms, obtaining two estimates.  (Goodnough/Rury).  All in favor.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  Budget Officer Howell described a few adjustments in the 2003 Budget.  After brief

discussion, the following resolution was made:

 

RESOLUTION:            To approve the Preliminary 2003 Budget as the Final 2003 Budget.  (Whitten/Goodnough).  All in favor.

 

HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT:  Ron Walter submitted a written report of activities. 

 

NEW BUSINESS:  

MOTION:                   To sign contract with the Scat Van for $500.  (Howell/Goodnough).  All in favor.

 

Supervisor Howell reported that some of the shingles on the roof of the Town Office Building are damaged.  It

was decided to have a roofing contractor check and advise.

 

SUPERVISOR’S REPORTS:

MOTION:                   To approve the Supervisor’s Reports for September 2002.  (Goodnough/Buckhout). 

All in favor.           

 

It was agreed to make any budget transfers at the December 11th meeting.  The end of the year meeting and

holiday get together was scheduled for Thursday December 26, 2002 at 7:00 pm

 

MOTION:                   To accept and approve the following vouchers for payment:         

                                                            General:                       Vouchers #   203-226            $    20,351.62                                                                                Highway:                     Vouchers #    80-86             5,398.87

                                                            Building Project            Vouchers #    10-14             921.10

                                                                                                Total:                           $    26,371.59

                                    (Goodnough/Whitten).  All in favor.

 

MOTION:                   To adjourn the meeting at 9:00 pm. All in favor.

 

The next regular town board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday December 11, 2002 at 7:30 pm.
