September 8, 2004

This regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Supervisor Chuck Howell with the following present:

Supervisor: Charles Howell Guests: George Fearon,

Council Members: Phil Buckhout, Greg Rury, Fred Delaney, Ron Walter

Gary Goodnough, Gary Whitten Judith Rowlands

MOTION: To accept the minutes of the August 18, 2004 meeting with the following

adjustment: Highway Fund Vouchers total: $48,172.79.

(Buckhout/Goodnough). All in favor.

Supervisor Howell welcomed the visitors.

COMMUNICATIONS:

a. Received Court fees of $1,280.00

b. Received Membership and Code set (paid for by NYS)

c. Association of Towns notice re: reduction in court fees due to new budget

d. Free workshop “Storm Water Runoff and Erosion Control 10/20/2004

e. Due date for 2004 retirement contribution changed to Feb. 1, 2005

f. Home Aides of Central NY - “Neighbors Caring for Neighbors” campaign

OLD BUSINESS:

Clean-up Day is scheduled for Saturday October 2^nd from 10 am to 4 pm, for Scipio residents only. Rabies Clinic is scheduled for October 16^th from 1 pm -3 pm.

HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT: Ron Walter reported that the Highway Department is continuing with road paving and mowing roadsides.

NEW BUSINESS:

Tentative Budget for 2005 will be distributed to council members prior to the next meeting.

MOTION: To accept the July 2004 Supervisor’s Monthly Reports. (Goodnough/Whitten).

All in favor.

MOTION: To keep the contractual expense for mowing cemeteries as

approved in the 2004 budget. (Buckhout/Rury). All in favor.

MOTION: To accept and approve the following vouchers for payment:

General: Vouchers # 145-154 $ 6,542.65

Highway: Vouchers # 55-58 16,403.09

Total: $ 22,945.74

(Goodnough/Buckhout) All in favor.

MOTION: To adjourn the meeting at 8:10 pm. (Goodnough/Rury). All in favor.

The next regular Town Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday October 13 at 7:30 pm.
