This regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Supervisor Chuck
Howell with the following present:

MOTION: To accept the minutes of the August 10, 2005 regular meeting as written. (Buckhout/Goodnough). All in favor.
COMMUNICATIONS:
a. 2nd Annual Owasco Lake Watershed Symposium is scheduled for Oct. 18.
b. Justice fees received $ 2235.00.
c. Joint Town & Village meeting at Weedsport Aug. 31.
Re: new Voting machines, Workman’s Compensation Ins. & Health Ins.
d. Slocum & Hannah Howland House nominated for historic register.
e. Pourlance’s will be charging $2.00 more per delivery.
OLD BUSINESS:
a. Insurance estimates not yet completed; will review at Oct. meeting
b. Employee Vacation policy discussed, council members to consider for
more discussion at October meeting.
c. Clean Up Day is October 8th (10-4); Rabies Clinic October 15th (1-3)
HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT: Ron Walter reported on highway work and
machine maintenance.
NEW BUSINESS: Supervisor Howell reported that the tentative budget will be mailed to
council members before the October meeting. There was discussion regarding possible violation
of Local Law # 4 of 1989 regulating disposal and importation of sludge.
MOTION: To authorize Attorney Baier to take whatever legal action necessary
to enforce Local Law # 4 of
1989. (Howell/Whitten)
MOTION: To approve the Supervisor’s Monthly Reports for July 2005.
(Goodnough/Buckhout). All in favor.
RESOLUTION: To make the following account transfers and adjustments:
Increase A1355.4 by $10,000 due to reval expenses.
(Howell/Buckhout). All in favor.
MOTION: To accept and approve the following vouchers for payment:
General: Vouchers # 140-161 $ 6,106.86
Highway: Vouchers # 68-75 25,306.48
TOTAL 31,413.34
(Goodnough/Buckhout). All in favor.
MOTION: To adjourn the meeting at 8:29 pm. All in favor.
The next regular Town Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday October 12, 2005
at 7:30 pm.
