December 29, 2005
This regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Deputy
Supervisor Gary Goodnough with the following present:
Deputy Supervisor: Gary
Goodnough Officials:
Council Members: Phil Buckhout Judith Rowlands, George Fearon
Greg Rury Brian Dugan, Jill Dugan
Guests: Janet Buckhout, Linda Goodnough
Absent: Charles Howell, Gary Whitten
MOTION: To accept the minutes of the December 14, 2005 regular meeting as written. (Buckhout/Rury). All in favor.
Gary Goodnough welcomed the guests and thanked everyone for coming.
Jill and Brian Dugan reported that their application for a grant for state-required justice software was not approved. Apparently the grants were distributed on the basis of volume of activity, so that towns with greater court revenue were given the grants, whereas towns with less revenue were denied. They were advised to continue to reapply.
County Legislator George Fearon reported that he was contacted by a property owner in the town regarding the distribution of the NYS farmland protection program grants. The concern was that possible encroachment from cities to the south is being insufficiently addressed.
There were no communications. There was no old business.
