This regular meeting was called to order at 7:37 pm by Supervisor Chuck Howell with the following present:

MOTION:                   To accept the minutes of the September 13, 2006 regular meeting as written. (Goodnough/Rury).  All in favor. 

 

GUESTS:                     Attorney Baier reported that as of January 1, 2007, New York State Code of Regulations is expected to be amended.  He will review all local regulations to ensure they are in accord with the state regulations as amended.

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

                        a.            Received State aid total $7,849.00 in 2 checks.

                        b.            Community Science Institute request for $ for monitoring of

                                    Salmon Creek.

                        c.            Rabies Clinic is scheduled for Saturday October 14th from 1-3 pm.

                        d.            Highway building drain has been sealed and checked by DEC.

                        e.            Sherwood Cemetery evaluation report

                        f.            New bookkeeping software has been installed – seems a significant improvement.

 

OLD BUSINESS:             One application has been received so far for the Town Justice position. 

There was discussion regarding the Ice Cream stand, and the Board requested Attorney Baier

send a letter clarifying the requirements for compliance with Zoning Regulations.  Last

Saturday’s Fall Clean up Day went well.

                       

HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT:  Ron Walter reported that the drain pipe under

Bergerstock Road has been replaced.   A heating problem in the Highway Garage is being taken

care of.

 

NEW BUSINESS:              The tentative budget was reviewed and discussed line-by-line.

 

RESOLUTION:            To approve the tentative 2007 budget as the Preliminary 2007 Budget, Public Hearing to be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday November 8th. (Howell/Goodnough)  All in favor.

 

MOTION:                   To approve the Supervisor’s Monthly Reports for August 2006.

                                    (Goodnough/Rury).  All in favor.

 

MOTION:                   To accept and approve the following vouchers for payment:         

                                    General:   Vouchers #   144-164              $  3,649.08

                                    Highway:  Vouchers #  49-55                17,944.25

                                    TOTAL                                                21,593.33

                                    (Goodnough/Rury). All in favor.

 

MOTION:                   To adjourn the meeting at 9:12 pm.  (Goodnough/Rury). All in favor.

 

The next regular meeting is scheduled for 7:30 pm Wednesday November 8, 2006, following

the 7:00 pm. Public Hearing for the 2007 Budget.
