This regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Supervisor Chuck

MOTION: To accept the minutes of the December 27, 2006 year-end meeting as written. (Buckhout/Goodnough). All in favor.
Supervisor Howell welcomed the visitors.
Town Historian Sandie Gilliland shared a written report of her activities this past year, adding
that she & clerk Dodie Rowlands attended a website management course and will be working on the
town website. She has also done a transcription of the 1904 New Century Atlas and will be finalizing
it soon. The Board thanked her for her excellent work.
Town Justice Robin Brown reported that the Justices’ computer is usable, and she will be working on
loading the proper information onto it for regular use. She reported that the county has available
used office supplies and equipment and has offered these to the towns. The board approved her
checking these out and picking up any needed items in good condition. Highway Superintendent Ron
Walter agreed to help with transporting them. She will be starting a Drug & Alcohol Clerk Internship
January 27th, and is enrolled to take the basic Justice Certification course in March and April.
Chair of County Legislature George Fearon reported, to clarify any confusion, that he saving the
county $ by working as a retired person, and he abides by the intent of term limit regulations.
COMMUNICATIONS:
a. Sales tax for 4th quarter was $75,450.58 (total $349,079.23)
b. Information on required training for Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals Members
was presented.
RESOLUTION: To approve the training requirements and schedule as presented, with the clerk
sending notice to members of these boards. (Howell/Buckhout). All in favor.
c. DEC public information meetings
d. Annual Lab analysis of the landfill
was received from Buck Labs

There was discussion about filling the position of Town Attorney vacated by Jim Baier’s resignation.
HIGHWAY SUPRINTENDENT: Ron Walter presented information about a truck available by state
bid.
MOTION: To order the truck as described. (Whitten/Goodnough). All in favor.

The Sexual Harassment Policy was reviewed and approved without change. Clean up Day was
scheduled for Saturday May 12, 2007 from 10 am to 4 pm. Assemblyman Brian Kolb has rescheduled
his town meeting for Saturday March 31, 2007 at 4 pm. Public is invited.
MOTION: To approve the agreement regarding temporary assignment of Judges.
(Howell/Goodnough). All in favor.
MOTION: To approve the Supervisor’s Monthly Reports for November 2006.
(Goodnough/Whitten). All in favor.
MOTION: To accept and approve the following vouchers for payment:
General: Vouchers # 1-18 $ 8,087.67
Highway: Vouchers # 1-6 $ 4,396.70
TOTAL $ 12,484.37

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday February 14, 2007 at 7:30 pm. Deputy
Town Supervisor Gary Goodnough will be serving as Supervisor for the next few months.
