Year End Regular Meeting December 26, 2007

 

This regular meeting was called to order at 8:30 pm by Town Supervisor Charles Howell with the following present:

                                    Greg Rury, Gary Whitten                       

Other Town Officials:  Town Clerk Judith Rowlands, Bookkeeper Rebecca Rury, 

Town Attorney Dave Thurston, 2008 Town Supervisor Keith Batman,

2008 Council member Mark Malys, Town Historian Sandie Gilliland, Transfer Station Attendant DJ Grady, Justice Brian Dugan, County Legislator George Fearon.

Guests: Janet Buckhout, Linda Goodnough, Pam Howell, Jill Dugan

                                                                         

MOTION:                   To accept the minutes of the December 12, 2007 regular meeting with

corrected date of this meeting December 26th  (not November 26th)   (Buckhout/Goodnough).   All in favor.

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

a. Dawn VanOrman has submitted her resignation from the Zoning Board of Appeals.  Thanks

    was expressed for her many years of service to the town.

b. NYSEG notice: when mercury vapor lights need to be replaced, they must be replaced by

    metal halide or high-pressure sodium lights.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

RESOLUTION:            To appoint Debra Kellogg temporary court clerk until such time as

                        the Board reviews the submitted resumes, and makes a permanent appointment. (Howell/Rury)

 

MOTION:                               To accept the Supervisor’s Reports for November 2007.

                                                (Goodnough/Rury).  All in favor.

 

RESOLUTION:                        To make the following account adjustments:

                                    Increase A8010.4 by $ 69.04                        Decrease A1990.4 by $ 69.04

                                    (Howell/Buckhout).  All in favor.

 

MOTION:                   To accept and approve the following vouchers for payment:           

                                    General Fund :   Vouchers #   204-208              $ 642.78                                    (Goodnough/Buckhout). All in favor.

 

Appreciation was expressed to Chuck Howell, who is retiring as Town Supervisor, and Phil

Buckhout who is retiring from the Town council.  Their dedicated service to the town is

much appreciated.

 

MOTION:            To adjourn the meeting at 8:50 pm. (Buckhout/Rury).  All in favor. 

 

After the meeting refreshments were shared. The next regular Town Board meeting is

scheduled for Wednesday January 16, 2007 at 7:30 pm.  The public is welcome.
