TOWN OF SCIPIO
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FROM THE HIGHWAY CAPITAL EQUIPMENT RESERVE FUND AND THE UNENCUMBERED FUND BALANCE ACCOUNTS
April 15, 2009
This Public Hearing was called to order at 6:30 pm by Town Supervisor Keith Batman with the following present:

Highway Superintendent: Ron Walter
Planning Board member: Keith Welch
Supervisor Batman reviewed the resolution to purchase a plow truck:
Having determined the need for a truck with plow, the town board authorized on
March 15, 2009 the purchase of a 2009 western star 4900 cab and chassis with plow body
truck through NYS contract to be funded with $ 55,000 from (DA 878) the Highway
Capital Equipment Reserve fund pursuant to section 6-C of the General Municipal Law of
the State of New York and with the balance not to exceed $ 120,000 to be funded from
(A911 and DA 911) the Unencumbered Fund Balance accounts.
He opened the floor for any comments or questions on the resolution.
There were no comments or questions.
RESOLUTION: To authorize the purchase of the truck as described. (Rury/Malys).
All in favor.
This resolution is subject to a permissive referendum, so citizens have 30 days to submit a petition containing the signatures of 5% of the electorate in the last gubernatorial (not necessarily general) election to request a referendum. The petition must be filed with the Town Clerk and need not be presented at the next meeting. If no petition is filed the resolution automatically becomes binding after thirty days.
