This regular meeting was called to order at 6:57 pm by Supervisor Keith Batman with the following present:

GUESTS:
Supervisor Batman explained to the board that he met with John Underhill and Ken Kudla regarding responsibility for maintaining the south extension of Firelane 26. He has found legal documents confirming that the town is not responsible for maintaining that part of the road, but will make every effort to assist John and Ken in determining who is responsible.
MOTION: To accept the minutes of the August 12, 2009 regular meeting
as revised to include the source funds of budget transfer amounts, which were not determined by the Supervisor until after the August meeting. (Rury/Whitten). All in favor.
REPORTS:
Supervisor: Keith Batman reported that several towns, partnering with Clarity Connect have submitted an application for broadband stimulus grant. It was a solid application, but there was a technical problem with the submission, so we may need to reapply. Clean Up Day is all set for Oct. 3rd. After discussion, Keith agreed to check with the town attorney regarding others collecting scrap on town property on that day. Gary Goodnough reported that he has talked with VanNostrands regarding the cows in the Gould-Akin Cemetery, which is town property. Keith will follow-up on this issue.
Highway Superintendent, Comprehensive Plan Committee or Town Clerk: No reports.
Elected Officials: George Fearon reported that the body of the man who drowned in Owasco Lake in July has been recovered, with the use of special sonar equipment. There will be a rededication ceremony on October 10th at the Cornwell Cemetery for Revolutionary War veteran Frederick Van Liew, coordinated by the local DAR. The public is welcome.
