![]() Erosion and Sediment Control Our purpose is to protect, maintain and enhance the public health, safety and welfare by establishing minimum requirements and procedures to control the adverse impacts associated with erosion, sediment adn modified stormwater runoff characteristics. Proper implementation and maintenance of erosion, sediment control and and stormwater management practices will minimize adverse impacts to public and private property due to changed or intense land use. This includes maintaining positive water quality standards by reducing stream channel erosion, reducing stormwater runoff volumes, capturing pollutant export, maintaining stream corridor capacity, plus reducing or eliminating erosion on construction sites and cropland. For more information about Erosion and Sediment Control, contact Doug Kierst at 315-252-4171 or by email at dkierst@cayugaswcd.org.
