Water Services
Cato has a municipal water system over 50 years old. Water comes from three village-owned wells and is supplemented by Dudley Water in Meridian; this is adequate for the time being. The system is complete with a tower for pressure. and fire hydrants throughout the village; for better pressure in some parts of the village, the pipes need to be looped. It is recommended that an alternative water supply be secured for future use. Due to the cost of such a system, it is proposed that it be done on a district level. This has been reviewed in the county water studies.

Recycling Services

CURB SIDE RECYCLING VILLAGE OF CATO RECYCLING SCHEDULE

Recyclables will be picked up curb side along side of trash every other Friday. Separate your recyclables into two categories CONTAINERS & PAPERS. CONTAINERS - Clear glass jars and bottles, tin cans & #2 plastic. These items can all be placed together loose in a sturdy, weather resistant container. (Milk crate, pail, or basket etc.) Mark container RECYCLING if possible. Remove and throw away all caps and clean your containers well. PAPERS - Cardboard and newspapers. Flatten cardboard and stack. Place newspapers in brown paper bag or plastic grocery bag in inclement weather.

Refuse Collection
Refuse is collected every Friday curbside. Stickers are available at the village office.
