Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

Plan and implement practices to:

  • Reduce or eliminate erosion and sediment loading to waterbodies during construction

  • Control impact of stormwater runoff on water quality of receiving waters

  • Control increased volume and peak rate of runoff during and after construction

Erosion and Sediment Control Plan

  • Requires erosion and sediment controls

  • Single family home disturbing more than one but less than five acres and not part of a larger plan of development

  • Certain construction activities at agricultural properties

Full SWPPP

  • Includes Erosion and Sediment Control Plan

  • All construction projects disturbing more than one acre require a full SWPPP except for those listed above under the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan

  • Also, all projects located in a TMDL(total maximum daily limit) watershed or directly discharging to an impaired 303 (d) water (Little Sodus Bay) with sediment or phosphorus identified as a polluntant of concern require a full SWPPP.
