Learn to ID aquatic plants Remove plant material from boats and trailers Drain bilge water, bait buckets, etc. before moving between different water bodies Dispose of plants on land Participate in a hand-pulling day Become a Weeds Watch Out Volunteer Become a Weeds Watch Out Volunteer Volunteers in the program take an active role in the prevention, early detection, and rapid response of new infestations, as well as in the monitoring and control of existing weed beds. Weed Watch Out Volunteers are needed to help stop the spread of invasive aquatic plants in local lakes and rivers.
